Member's Role

Members have a key role to play to ensure that the Forum is a Partnership of businesses/organisations rather than individuals. Members are the conduits for a two way process of communication.

Members must ensure that they make their whole business/organisations and networks aware of what the Forum is trying to achieve, to gain their commitment to the priorities and desired results of the Forum’s aims and objectives.

Members will consult with their businesses/organisations and networks to get their input into the decisions made by the Forum.

Members are therefore asked to contribute by:

  • Taking an active involvement in developing the Forum, implementing its aims and objectives, contributing the experience and expertise of their organisations and partnerships.
  • Determining a best fit of the Forum’s agenda with other local, sub regional, regional and national requirements.
  • Improving partnership arrangements.

Membership Levels
The Grimsby Town Centre Forum is a partnership of equal partners. As described in the Forum’s Rights, Roles & Responsibilities Charter every member has certain common rights, roles and responsibilities regardless of their organisation’s status.

It is recognised, however, that not every member will have the time to participate in every aspect of the Forum’s activities. • Ensuring that the members’ organisations views are represented at Forum meetings.
  • Occasionally working directly with the Town Centre Co-ordinator to achieve a specific objective or project of the Forum.
