Membership of the Grimsby Town Centre Forum (GTCF) is drawn from all the businesses and organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors operating in the defined geographical area known as the Grimsby Town Centre and any other business/organisation who has an interest in the aims and objectives of the Forum.
Members should have the authority to commit their businesses/organisations to the aims and objectives of the Forum and then influence their organisations in order to deliver that commitment.
Organisations that are “Partnerships” will be represented by their Chairs. ¨ In all other organisations the GTCF member will be the decision makers in their business/organisation. ¨ The Local Authority's members will be those elected members and officers who are appointed by the Council.¨
Membership belongs to the business/organisation rather than the person (this also applies to the named substitute). Members will notify the Town Centre Co-ordinator of changes to membership. In cases where members also represent important sectors or areas of expertise, the Forum may wish to consider inviting the person to stay in a different capacity.
The composition of the Forum has been informed by:
A The need to include businesses from the voluntary, community, private and public sectors within a partnership setting in developments within the Town Centre.
B The need to bring together those businesses and organisations that operate within the Town Centre area in order to operate in a coherent and consensual manner.
C Taking into account likely priorities of the Community Strategy/Shaping the Future Economy Strategy and other related strategies/action plans that have an influence on the Town Centre development.
